Conversations With Those Who Ask About the War

The book is based on interviews with researchers who recorded stories from the first months of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It serves as a methodological guide, a space for frankness and sensitivity, and a sort of mark on the timeline that captures the academic community’s response to the challenge posed by extraordinary circumstances. This collection offers an alternative to the usual academic writing formats as it is dialogic and multifaceted. It welcomes collaborative thinking and the development of best practices for collecting, preserving, and publishing eyewitness accounts of war and the conditions in which this war is still ongoing.

Stories of War is a series about documenting and archiving.
