Sykhiv: Spaces, Memories, Practices (e-book in English)

The book “Sykhiv: Spaces, Memories, Practices” is the result of a two-week research during the summer school on planned urbanism in 2017. The authors of the texts tried to cover a wide range of aspects of Sykhiv’s life: its transformation as a result of human migration and capital outflow, changes in the symbolic landscape, the transforming role of water resources, childhood memories, gardening practices, recreation, consumption, and sports. Thus, the book looks at modernist districts without stigmatization and through the prism of human experience.
